Class Description:
In this beginner-friendly series, students will learn the fundamentals of stylized character design using digital tools. We'll explore key techniques used in animation and video game concept art.

Starting with a creative prompt, students will gather inspiration through reference images and mood boards. From there, they'll experiment with simple sketches to develop expressive character shapes and poses.

As the designs take shape, we’ll refine details, explore color choices, and apply finishing touches with rendering techniques. By the end of the class, each student will have created an original, fully illustrated character—and the skills to keep designing with confidence!

No need to have taken prior digital art workshops or programs with us. If you have taken prior digital art workshops or programs, please note this program will complement that experience as we’ll focus more experienced students on further developing their knowledge and skills.

This series is recommended for ages 9-17.
