We will guide you through the process of preparing paints and experimenting with pouring techniques that will result in 2 unique pieces of fluid art using the chain pull technique.

Learn the basic functionality of the sewing machine and complete two simple projects over two classes to build your skills and confidence.

Intro to Abstract Art (Beginners & UP)

Thursdays, May 23rd - june 6th from 6:30-8:30pm (3 classes)

Abstract Art: what is it? what does it mean to abstract something? How does one go about creating it?

Learn the answers and more in this introductory program about Abstract art. Students will learn a brief overview of Abstract Art , its context within art history, and simple techniques to getting started in creating art in a non-representational way.

Intro to Palette Knife Painting (Beginners & UP)

Thursdays, June 13th and June 20th from 6:30-8:30pm (2 classes)

Palette knives are essential tools in painting that consist of a handle and a flat, flexible blade. Artists use palette knives to mix, apply, and manipulate paint on the palette or directly on the painting's surface, allowing for different textures, impasto effects, or even precise techniques in their artwork.

In this 2-week program, students will use the palette knife in place of a brush to create a small still life.
