Intro to Acrylic Painting: Finding Your Palette - Thursdays, January 9th - January 23rd from 6:30PM-8:30PM (3 Classes)
During this 3-week program, students will paint the same still-life using multiple color palettes to learn the color combinations that work best together and the ones they prefer. Students will also learn how different color palettes affect mood and vibe of the painting.
With more pigments to choose from than any other time in history, it can be overwhelming to choose colors for your painting. Utilizing a compatible color triad is a great method for honing in on the colors that most resonate with you and the feeling you are seeking to convey in your painting. This helps develop your “painter’s palette”.
A painter’s palette is an expression of how they see the world and the colors that they love. By exploring a variety of limited palettes from earthy to intense, students can discover the combination of colors that best helps them convey their world view.
