New to sewing? Got a machine as a gift and want to learn how to use it? Don’t have a machine, but interested in starting up? This is the perfect beginner’s class for you! Learn the basic functionality of the sewing machine and complete two simple projects over two classes to build your skills and confidence. If you don’t have a machine, you can reserve one within the registration form upon adding this class to your cart. All materials are included.

Class 1 - Easy Tote Bag (May 14th):
In this beginner friendly class, students will learn how to use a sewing machine and other sewing basics like cutting fabric, pinning, and seam finishes.  You will leave class with an understanding of sewing fundamentals, and be able to tackle more sewing projects on your own! 

All students will leave with a finished tote bag that is perfect as a beach bag or reusable shopping tote!

Class 2 - Quilted Zipper Pouch (May 21st):
This fun sewing class will re-introduce sewing basics while making a quilted zipper pouch that is perfect for essentials and on-the-go storage.  Students will learn how to use batting for quilting, change their machine’s sewing foot in order to install a zipper, and more.

Leave class with more confidence and skills to take on more sewing projects!

Due to our Fashion Teacher’s limited availability we are unable to provide make-up classes for missed classes. Additionally, due to the small class size (8 students), we will not be able to accommodate any credits for missed classes nor will we be able to provide refunds once classes begin. Please ensure you are able to commit to the class dates and times prior to purchasing.

**Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines, with necessary accessories (power cord, foot pedal) and instruction manuals. We have 6 machines available in the studio if you don’t have your own. You can reserve a machine within the registration form upon adding this class to your cart**
