Mixed media collage is an open-ended art process that brings together different materials, such as paint, pencils, collage papers, and found objects on a single surface. Rather than focusing on realistic drawing, students explore texture, color, layering, and symbolism to express ideas in a more personal and creative way.
In this workshop, students will create a self-portrait (or a portrait of a subject of their choice) using a variety of techniques and materials, experimenting with how different elements can come together.
All materials are included and please dress for mess!
Recommended for ages 9-16.
